The SCC is working on the breed called chien de Crau which is not a new one, and 3 years later after an inventory and DNA having been done, things are starting to come together.Standard, DNA, association to save the breed from extinction.
Luna, the mom they are talking about in the video.
Very much "genetic diversity" as in the Barbet!
Of course, many newbies to the Barbet may or may not be aware of the research I am doing on the breed which is something no one has ever done before. I am and have been convinced that there is chien de Crau in the Barbet, that came in from Islam(ATI).At the show in Bourg en Bresse last week, a judge who knows what a chien de Crau is, said to me" Y'a du chien de Crau dans ce chien...( there's Chien de Crau in this dog)" Bingo... Just like another British judge ( I had never seen him before nor heard of him) said to me a couple of years ago about Compay: "there's Bouvier de Flandres in this dog...". Well, that is quite obvious in another Barbet alive and well with a nice strong body, BIG head and coat texture not fine and frizzy and which would not bounce back even if it had hairspray in it.http://www.milouchouchou.com/standard_print.php?alpha=1501http://www.antagene.com/index.motsclefs.Le-Berger-de-Crau--une-nouvelle-race-berger-de-crau--chien-de-berger--crau--SCC--nouvelle-race--ouverture-livre.rubrique_id.133.page_id.496.coderub1.2.coderub2.0.coderub3.4.nav.menuhaut.rubriquetitre..htmlhttp://www.dailymotion.com/video/x8hecn_crau_animals
