Heavy weekend. Snow, fog, Birthday, lots of dogs( and people) at the Marseille show.2nd in Progeny group
.My first time to do this class! Yippieeeeeeeee!5 dogs in one hand. They are so nice and gentle, it was easy. Plus I have my "commando" walks several times a week with 7 dogs in 2 hands!
The audience applauded them as they walked back and forth in the honor ring!
Froggies were shown for the first time, too as they are now over 6 months old. French's leash was too loose so I lost him en route. "Même pas peur" with all the people standing there watching and the judge waiting for me to put his show leash back on...so we blew that one.1st in pairs
. Coccolina and Dixie Chick.
Flying colors in black and white for mama Coccolina and daughter Dixie Chick.
Thelma: CACIB/CACS in Working Class
Coccolina: R-CACIB/ R-CACS open class
Dixie: 1st exc, open class
Floirac: very promising
French Lover: Best Puppy.
Fanny: Best youth
And yes, it's easy to win when you are alone at a show or in a class.
I am very excited to be able to show pairs and couples and 5 of the same in the honor ring. It doesn't go un-noticed by the general public.
The general public was there on Sunday and we were in a very strategic position with all of our Barbets. Lots of questions about the breed. Brigitte was answering them all along with Geneviève.
People loved the rustic look of the breed and Fanny was a hit. I have to admit she is absolutely beautiful.
For several people, it was the "coup de foudre" for the breed.
Children petted them and parents admired.
We did insist on the fact that they dogs were friendly, non-aggressive, didn't bark...they could see that!
