Babaloo and her babies... envoyé par Elaine Fichter le 01/02/2012 @ 21:09

Babaloo is the proud mother of a litter of 9 pups, born yesterday.
7 males, 2 females, ( blacks and browns with lots of white.)Dad Chouffe did a great job!

Mom is doing extremely well, and Coccolina is great-grand-mother again. I can hardly believe it, myself. How time flies...

Not a novelty, but needs to be dealt with. envoyé par Elaine Fichter le 30/01/2012 @ 17:12
I have, as many of you know ( most of you ) been working really hard keeping you informed of what was/is going to happen this summer for the Barbet and how the SCC has decided to help the breed. So, you have followed all the developments because I feel all need to have the same information regardless of how I feel about some of them/ some of you.

Well, "they" have again, managed to turn an event into something biased, but ONLY sending people to the club website, which has no information about the event, only the confirmation that it is happening.
Everyone knows I have been informing you all.

My point here is, as I was reminded: there are now 2? breeders in France, officially...and the goal of these whoer-tongued people is:
to make sure there are none, or at least not me.Then of course they will reign.

Two, that any trace of the Barbet history is erased, by slandering my name, the historical work I have done for the breed and any work done by breeders before me, trying to keep the Barbet from becoming a pure 65 cm poodle crossed with whetever..

That is also a subject to ask questions about at the symposium. Why do people think that by spending their time slandering others, attacking every word said by going onto on forums, they are working for the breed's survival? Is a man( generic type word) any bigger or does he have more balls because he is throwing his weight around belittling others?

Too many years(30) have gone by with this kind of permanent attacks, on breeders of good-will. It's all in the Barbet Club bulletins. The bad example was set and hard to get some out of the habit of showing how superior they are.

That's why not many want to touch the breed and that's why it's going nowhere. You have to be real courageous to put up with them every day. Shame because it is a nice breed.

So, questions for this summer are not JUST about the dog and the standard, but also the "rest".

Not just a question of inbreeding, lines and health, but the shit that goes on behind the scene, by "goodie-two" shoes who have empowered themselves to take over. Not just in France, either.

I knew this picture would come in handy at some point. Always good to keep everything.U never know.

A fab site in the UK, witty and full of the British style I love envoyé par Elaine Fichter le 30/01/2012 @ 16:45
When speaking of endangered dog breeds in the world, and bringing it closer to the UK context, it is not even on the list there...meaning that it means not even peanuts.Yet, everyone is making sure they stay on top of putting people down and making sure nothing happens.( like in France)

Yvonne, just had a lovely litter of 5 and as she mentions no UK births in the UK in 2011, which is no real great work for the breed was accomplished. That is a shame.

Misleading information envoyé par Elaine Fichter le 29/01/2012 @ 19:49
I mentionned a Tan taking place in the north of France, but the information is not on the official club website so I may have read it in the bulletin, and it got cancelled, sorry!

Don't beleive everything you read, is absolutely right, James.

Symposium in August for our Barbet: update envoyé par Elaine Fichter le 29/01/2012 @ 19:23
It is asked for your questions to be sent to Renée Rault and copy Dr Geissant by the beginning of May as they will be discussed at the committee meeting which will take place in Lustrac.

As I have said before and am repeating myself: questions must be "closed " questions, meaning yes or no answers, and not leading to a an endless debate.
It appears that some have been submitted, but not in the appropraite style.

Please do not wait until the last minute as Dr Geissant is sorting them out and would like to stay on top of things.( he has a job, like many of us!)

For those who still don't believe what is going to happen, please do because this is the last opportunity our club is giving us and rightly so. From the SCC down to the club, this is it: our last chance to work together for the breed that is not going to go anywhere it we are not worthy.

I am going to help find funding for an interpreter...so that foreigners can follow what is going on, that day.

All will be done for it to go well and hopefully save our breed. That is the reason why the SCC has accepeted to help us.

Remember:this is it.
