http://www.pawpeds.com/db/?a=p&id=808819&g=4&p=bar&date=iso&o=ajgrep As I have said previously, you don't know what the dog is going to really look like until he or she grows up! "Old Bloodlines" are working for the future, to keep these lines alive. There are lots of names in a pedigree, some interesting and some less. Being able to assemble what was good or bad in a line, and take a critical look at them, helps us select who we want to work with.
Doesn't this lovely Filura/Ruffa, remind you of Daphne?( seen in a post below)
Ps: no, I don't walk around with these ribbons around my neck all day..;It's just nice to get a little attention worldwide! Bravo Ruffa and Rose Marie, in Sweden!
One of my 3 sons...and his cousins! envoyé par Elaine Fichter le 20/05/2010 @ 09:08
This is me, "Compay"! not my son...!And my other 2 sons look like me, too!I hope they grow up to look like me and be proud representatives of Bloodline 1, Le Houelleur! Photo taken 20/05/10 900 gr ( which is the approximate weight of the 3* others) Banditt von der Leibrücke
You will see that between this post and the one above, we're looking at descendants of Udine, Ulysse, Ulyssia, all of them being Barbochos de Reiau de Prouvenco.( Ursus has not reproduced yet, and Uriel never will). Every drop of their blood is precious to get back where we started from: 1886 Pilote, the Barbet( below).
PS: It's real difficult to dertermine the line a Barbet belongs to until they have grown, because "pups all look similar". As there are more births of different lines, it will be much easier to determine each line's specificity. Therefore when selecting, it will be easier to the final user: the dog owner.
* There are 4 pups, no longer 5. The third day, Bijou laid on one a bit too long and the little male didn't survive. This had been announced(for fear of whatever usually happens), but not too publicly until Bijou's owners had the information.Bijou being a novice...it happened, as it can with anyone. That's the cycle of life regardless of what we have to say. The 4 are doing great. I can hardly wait tosee them open their eyes and start trotting!
