New Group
Subscribe: PPHE-subscribe@yahoogroups.com
Location: http://pets.groups.yahoo.com/group/PPHE/

Description:
This Group is designed to share Pedigree and health information in lines of all sizes of the Poodles. To assist breeders in making wise breeding choices. This is not a "bashing" group, but rather one that will bring COI's, Pedigrees and Health issue discussions into the forefront, for the benefit of all Poodles and breeders.

In bringing Poodle issues to one another, honestly, and openly we can effectively nurture our beloved breed to better health, extended life and preserve the breed for future generations to love, as we have.

"Breeding means you enter your breed's gene pool and leave footprints for eternity! Take care that the footprints you leave are worthy of being followed!" Author Unknown

Photos may be posted, you must own the photo or have permission to use it.

Once the Group is underway Moderators will be added to control the subject matter so the Group will always remain on the topic. The above subjects are very controversial issues and at times the discussion may get heated so please remember this Group is not about a breeder and how he or she breeds.

Always remember another writer cannot see your expressions so be thoughtful in what you write.

Another Barbochos di Reiau de Prouvenco and Novaforesta litter planned! envoyé par Elaine Fichter le 06/09/2009 @ 15:09

More info under "studs" on the right on my site, scroll down! Betsey, french born, living in the UK was top female at the club show recently. Yes!Bravo!

And now about Compay II envoyé par Elaine Fichter le 05/09/2009 @ 20:24

(I am sorry I cannot tell you what the judge said about a situation on 15/8/09. I can't put that on internet...but the word "buffone" did come up and apparently was heard a way away).

Back to me, or my dog..

Compay II got 2nd of the 8th group, by another real judge whom I had never seen before( we learn to appreciate the ones who judge dogs). This person is a cocker spaniel breeder and it came in first, fine considering I thought I would be ejected: back to jail, don't pass go or collect 200.
I was at wits' end because Compay sat down right in front of her...arrrgh.

Enjoy some more... envoyé par Elaine Fichter le 31/08/2009 @ 21:08
How many Barbet websites have the kind of information you find on this one and on parti poodle websites? Amazing, isn't it...The Barbet of some seems to have fallen from Mars!

http://www.partipoodle.org/TheBreed/PartiPoodlesfromthepast/tabid/63/Default.aspx

The Barbet is a rustic dog and our breed club uses the word every fifth word, but can't commit to putting it back in the standard. Shame on them.

Parti poodles...and their future and ours? envoyé par Elaine Fichter le 31/08/2009 @ 18:17
Some of you may know about the Parti-poodles not being able to use the name poodle anymore if the FCI ( and perhaps also the French Poodle club) have their way. They are suggesting that they be called Wooly German dog.Now that they will not have docked tails anymore...

http://canichesbicolores.fr.nf/archives/1835

..and that they're not wrong in saying that the breed is 300 years old...

http://www.angelfire.com/hi4/PartiPoos/PartiPoodleHistory.html

We're telling people that the Barbet of course is their ancestor and that we're working ever so hard on thier survival...

and compare:http://www.clubbarbetlagotto-chienseau.com/25803/25830.html
If you can't see a difference, it's because there isn't.

Can someone tell me what these guys are, now that we're even adopting the pseudo "working cut" to put us one step closer to people thinking Barbet people are completely off thier wagons..if we were to cut all the coat off of a Barbet and a poodle: how many could say what is what? or who is what?

I would add that I thoroughly support the Parti poodle cause. At least their dogs look like what they're supposed to.

Now what is this? Then tell me what the difference is with an ungroomed whatever it is we're making?or could this be Sérinoire, Lynx's supposed mate?

Then to add insult to injury, a non scientific person, who can of course and thank gawd read a standard for 2.5 hours but not know how to interpret it tells us we have to mix the Barbet blood to refresh the poodles? This is all fine and dandy for all you future potential breeders thinking you are going to have puppies, Barbets, of course..but how can you be sure? Will you be piling up a poodle SWD mix with another poodle? Then you will have gained 5 cms on the pups and a tail over the back?

Am I dreaming or is it too hot outside?

A Barbet is a Barbet and has barbet blood. Gees.If it doesn't have any Barbet blood regardless of what anyone says, it ain't a Barbet.
No one can say that I'm wrong or they would have already said it.
I don't see anyone coming out and prouving otherwise.
Keep selling them dogs.
And keep in mind we have Vulkan kennels in some of our dogs' pedigrees..
parti poodles, they are.
