And 12 months later: the baby is born envoyé par Elaine Fichter le 28/08/2009 @ 08:36
In the most unread revue ever published, the club bulletin: it says p.8/24...Pr Triquet ( pdt of the standards commission of the FCI) watched all the judgements at the Club show. The next day, in a brilliant conference, he made some propositions to make some points of the standard more precise and define a maximum size for the Barbet. The definition of minimum and maximum taken from the Swiss measurements along with the ones taken at the Club show in 2005( stats in bulletin no. 84)
This proposition was adopted by the club committee after having consulted and gotten the opinion of all of its members...was adopted by the standards commission on Nov. 26th. 2005.

This never happened. No one was ever consulted and no one said anything. That is a pure unadulterated l--.
Nothing was ever documented on any questions ever asked of any Barbet breeder in France...or some may have had verbal contact and not others( as usual). There are no written records or trace of any research done on the lines.I of course, have asked to see them. The club can't furnish them because there aren't any.Had there been, names of those people would have appeared somewhere.

There is only one group of people this was an advantage for and they have very little or no Barbet blood. None of the Barbet français were ever taken into consideration and what was done again to the Barbet left all the space in the world for the aryian barbet, or re-incarnated one.

I don't think the SCC is at all interested in what goes on inside clubs. They believe things were done according to rules and regulations...
Conclusion: overnight, some of the purest( as can be to this day) Barbet bloodlines were refused confirmation in France. And the oodles could carry on merrily in the pure re-incarnator of the Grand Barbet tradition. That is the farce of the Barbet...
So maybe some of you understand better what I have been trying to do for 3 years to save what some of us have left of the Barbet français, by asking questions with registered letters that never get answers because they don't knwo how to answer and really couldn't care less.

Imagine we spent over 2 and a half hours discussing the standard at the CTE last week and never even got to the end of the standard.

Never mind past history of the standards..or any points of the agenda that many received but not me.( I was told by the secretary that it was on the website...)
Never mind working dogs,( and the afrce of the BCE in Bélabre 2008)( similar to the farce of the TAN truffle in Le Blanc..the person in charge of the test didn't even check to see if the space was defined according to the rules...at least one person filed an official complaint! Bravo him!!)
AND especially drop dead with your 3 pages of questions on what we're supposed to be doing for the survival of the breed, grooming, Breeding plan of which there is none and instructions to judges who think a Barbet is a purebred poodle et al...
The Présidente eventually got up and the meeting was over.

No one can say anything other than what happened, this time...
The "don't say anything, play dead, roll over and everyone will go back to sleep" won't work.

This was mentionned at the CTE(on my MP3) last week and was brushed off by the hand mouvement( like when a fly is trying to zoom in on your face) of a French breeder who said it was not her problem( of course, what is not her problem is no one's and what is is everyone's).
La Con-chita ( yours truly) said that if it was a problem in Canada and in Great Britain it was our problem in France also as we're supposed to be guiding these people...meaning Barbet breeders, not suffering their wrath and breed changes and sitting there like bumbling idiots. The French breeder was to to muzzel it by a Canadian breeder.

(Those people not only have 1 Barbet, but 2, by the way)

Coming up: How the club changed the standard in 2005, in complete "illegality"( probably as the previous changes). Is that a word in English or does it come from Schizo vocab?
You wonder why they have rules and statutes that they obviously don't read very often( like that standards) except to claim that WE haven't read them. Or WE have broken the rules. haha.
That will be a "cadeau",for 150 000 visitors on the site. Wish I could give you the MP3 recording contents, but... no can do, yet.
They're looking to cover up some more "illegalies" from last week. We need to give them time to get thier stories straight.

Trouvaillen: auf Deutsch in the text... envoyé par Elaine Fichter le 27/08/2009 @ 13:37
I was told on Saturday at the "Special show" that the swiss white and black pup was a throwback of a Griffon Barbet from the 70's in Germany. Since last week, I have been looking for information in my piles.

(Let me tell you: when Mrs Inge Fischer speaks, you listen. Her words are few and far in between...I listened and heard and started tracking the info.)

I done did find it.

This is a "Rives d'Olt" Griffon Barbet that belonged to M Haselberger in the 8O's. It lived in Austria.

This is the little one

This is the pedigree. The fathers' side is of no importance as they're all black poodle descendants, but look at the corrected part of the mother's.

Another Griffon Barbet Français throwback from Mrs Pêtre! I wonder if that's why they got rid of it.

This is P9 of my Barbet Français bloodline 4...which doesn't fit anymore! There were quite a few Rives d'Olt Griffons Barbet as says the document. This man was not able to continue breeding in France, he was chased away.Nothing new, is it now!? The French Barbet Club chased him away. Sound familiar?

This pup has gone to Canada, so they definitely got a deal as opposed to the one that came back from that same country last year. That's just my opinion.

Ridiculous and shameful for a Club Specialty envoyé par Elaine Fichter le 27/08/2009 @ 11:29

By taking one of the most famous Barbets in the Barbet world and making him come in second with complete disregard for the standard, behind one which was made up as a complete joke, for a good laugh...just prouves what the 2 judges: members of the club think of our Barbet. No one at the club ( board or committee) supports the Barbet and would be ever so happy to get rid of it completely, by of course getting rid of the breeders first especially the ones who make noise and making space for ones who not nothing about the breed.
Elections coming up, remember? Politics are starting to work here, there and everywhere in mysterious and very illegal ways...

Of course, they couldn't compltely make the breed ridiculous.
Others were good/right winners. However, Caravaggio was one of the ones at the top.Easy target to decapitate.

Read the standard? haha. We did for 2.5 hours...for what it was worth.
