A Barbet Moderne cut: Molly Mae

Molly Mae had a difficult coat to groom and keep up.
I couldn't let her hair get too long.




When she was supposed to have puppies, I had her shaved.
I had planned on stopping dog shows anyway so her having short everywhere was not a problem for me. It would grow back. It takes a long time, remember 1 cm per month on the body and much longer on the ears and head.



For dog shows, judges are not really happy about having a Barbet with short hair. It defeats the purpose of having a Barbet!Although, recently, I wonder.
