For those of who who are following what happened with Polka.com and her aggression by Vera, well...on Friday....Polka is traumatized, but eating and walking.
Saturday, Guyguy( Thelma's son) had a strange open sore which I ended up thinking it was a bite, too. Then, yesterday Thelma had one, too.
I decided to show the vet to be sure. I am not a vet and what I know is not scientific...like others? who know it all.
I always worry when there is something wrong with any of them, meaning my dogs, as they can't speak about when they hurt, but it hurts me.
Well it was not a bite. It could have been, but it wasn't.That doesn't make Vera less agressive..but at least that part is not her fault.
It was coincidentally,for both, a sebaceous gland abcess that could have gotten much worse had I not seen the vet. 12 days of heavy duty anti- biotics hoping it will work. If not, the piece of skin will have to be removed.
That's 3 under anti-biotics. Good thing my dogs are healthy otherwise or this would be difficult to deal with."One to you", half of this to another and 3/4 to him...
If this happens to your dog, do something about it before it gets worse.
Good thing we're not worried about show appearances, eh.A long haired dog with a hole really shows..not well!
