So far, I have 6 dogs who have qualified as Guide dogs at the first go.( npo test periods)
There is a selection and they don't care if your dog is champion, but look at their character:super agressive, stay away.
Their criteria is far from show arenas.
2 of mine are are working for "real" in Paris and in Lyon.4 are in training.
That is the reason why they asked me for some of my "blood" to create a line of Barbets "working dogs".
To qualify, they must not be aggressive or slow in the head, or stressed. They must be anxious to learn and discover things. I, of course, prepare them for their future role.
My joy is to know that yes, I have dogs that "normal people" want people like and that do things for the breed. I am not particularly flattered by the fact they are champions, it is a necessary evil, most of the time, alas.
