To stop breeding poodles to poodles and calling them homogenous looking Barbets.
That is an insult to the Barbet.
A lot of diseases come from the poodle. There are health registries out there available for consulation on Poodle Pedigree databases, but who cares enough to look at them?
The Barbet, regardless of what anyone says, is a natural breed which was NOT selected by humans for whatever, like the poodle was. People need to stop accusing him and face facts.
Regardless of the fact that there had to be some outside blood added to the breed for it to survive.
ps: health issues( negative aspects: seizures, thyroid,), like colors( positive aspects) can come out after
12 generations. That is a documented fact.
