Arkann is not "the" exception to the rule, but should represent the norm.
She is the image of what a "normal" Barbet Français/ pointing dog should be throughout the Barbet world a
hunting dog...and not just a decoy that others hide behind.
A Barbet with Barbet blood should have that natural ability and hunters should be using dogs like Arkann!

... Not just attending hunting trials to better their show ring abilities.
And of course thank you, Caravaggio. That goes without me saying..Arkann being Coccolina's sister. So, I am not by any stretch of the imagination criticising her...but lets' got the "full monty" on this and give her what she deserves for the breed.no?
And if I may add: The day that Arkann or Arkann looking dogs are French Champions, it will mean that someone competent* is working for the breed at the club and has done his or her job of informing judges worldwide that the Barbet is not an
overgroomed soufflé. That day we'll be able to say that the club is doing his job of saving the breed and not Mickey-Mousing around. Not before.
* And for those who think I want that job, you are dreaming.
Too many hypocrits with meaningless promises looking for ? which is not a very healthy environment. Will pull out all those promises, when the time comes. This is what the editorial in the French magazine is talking about.( the one I posted 2 weeks ago)
Were they in a private company, most of them should have been fired a long time ago or asked to resign.
