I found this on Facebook. It is a grand idea because the volunteers take the dogs into town to show people how they are and maybe people will want to adopt them.

I would like again to insist on the fact that, regardless of what is said here or there and by whom( especially), the Barbet Moderne is nothing more or less than some people taking 2 dogs out of a pound/ SPA and mating them together over and over and calling them Barbets.We know they had no Barbet blood. So.......

When faced with the opportunity, if you're not too much of a snob, go get a dog out of a pound/ SPA. It's going to cost you much less and you may get a Barbet type like Lynx or Sérienoire ( I'm sure she was a poodle.The dog will love you just as much and you will have done a good deed.

No, it is not Compay at 5 weeks old. It could be...he looked like that!
This is another grandchild of Coccolina, born in Finland.
Dad is Chichi l'Amoroso.

Coccolina started her career at age 3.5 and has had 39 healthy puppies.
Yes, because she was(and is)worth it. She is now retired as of yesterday, officially. She was sterilized and can now enjoy life without puppies. The operation went fine. I was, of course, worried because you never know, really, what could go wrong.
She asked to go out today to play with them, so I let her. She is such a great Barbet. I am blessed, I realize that.

You must always talk as much as possible to your dogs. You talk to plants? Well, do so with dogs...all they want to do is understand you to make you happy. That is their only mission in life...
However, don't don't talk down at them. Be at their level!It's really worth it for their well-being and trust.
